The PowerBuild™ was created to address the need of creating mixed pallets that fulfill unique, customer-specific orders. The design of the PowerBuild system is a revolution in palletizing technology; in fact, it's the only one of it's kind.

Not the traditional palletizing system, the PowerBuild consists of a palletizing robot fixed to a rail-driven cart. The flexibility, accuracy, and high speed of the platform-driven palletizing design creates for a reliable, high throughput performing system.

Operation Description:

The Layer Building Cart (LBC) travels a set of rails interacting with Supply Pallet Conveyors (SPC’s) where it draws full layers of product from. Fixed atop the Layer Building Cart is a robot with an end effector and a series of pallet conveyors.The robot removes layers of product from the Supply Pallet Conveyors and creates mixed pallets at 1 of 6 Mixed Pallet Conveyor locations on the Layer Building Cart.

Once the building of the mixed-product pallets is completed, the mobile platform sends the completed pallets to an outfeed conveyor where the pallets can be stretch wrapped. After dispensing the completed pallet loads, the mobile platform restocks itself with new empty pallets and begins another cycle of custom pallet building.

As product is depleted from the Supply Pallet Conveyors, the robot removes the emptied pallet which it carries with it until the end of the rail path cycle. The depleted Supply Pallet Conveyors can be resupplied with new product from a variety of sources including forklifts, conveyors, or with the PAS PowerStage™ system.
