The VTU transfers
pallets between levels
of storage and input or
take-away devices within
the PowerStor® module.
Operation: A pallet is
delivered to a Pick
Up & Deposit
Station (PDS) located
at each level of racking or
at various input or take-away
positions. The VTU will
extend its forks into
the pallet opening, lift
the pallet off the PDS, bring the pallet
on-board the VTU and then
travel vertically to the
designated level where
it will deposit the pallet
on that level PDS
for storage by
an Aisle
Row Cart Pair or an output device to
be transported away from
the system to the assigned
destination. |
